Frame color shows the deal: orange is the cheapest coin on the board, purple the next two, blue the rest. Prices as listed by the seller on November 2, 2026.
Classic scale
Priced per coin, not per thousand
Retail gold is sold by the thousand because a single retail coin buys almost nothing. Forever runs on the classic economy, where one gold is real money inside the game: a stack of potions, a repair bill after a rough evening, a slice of a riding trainer's fee. That is why every number on this board is the price of one coin.
Read the cards with that scale in mind. An order of a few hundred gold is ordinary here, and a thousand is the figure most characters spend their whole climb working toward, because the top tier of riding training costs exactly that. When a listing somewhere else quotes a price per 1,000, divide before you compare. Mixing the two scales is the easiest way to misread a Forever price.
Reading the board
Why the rows on the board disagree
Three things move the price of a coin before anyone mentions a discount.
The ruleset
Normal, PvP and Roleplay are separate worlds, so their gold comes from separate crowds of farmers. A large population produces more coin, more coin means more sellers chasing the same buyer, and the price falls. A small population runs short and prices high.
The faction
Alliance and Horde gold are two products, because mail and trade stop at the faction line. When one side has more farmers than the other, the price splits along that line, and the board shows both rows so you can see by how much.
The stock behind the listing
A low price only counts if there is gold behind it. Every card carries the seller's stock label and delivery estimate beside the price, and those two lines tell you whether the number is an offer you can take today. The frame colors then do the ranking: orange for the cheapest coin on the board, purple for the next two, blue for the rest.
Mega-server
Forever has no realms
Classic players are used to choosing a server first and hunting for gold on it second. Forever drops the first step. Each region is one mega-server, so the whole of North and South America plays in the same world, and the only choice inside it is the ruleset: Normal, PvP or Roleplay at launch, with Hardcore after it. Crowds are spread across layers of the same zones rather than split into realms.
For a buyer that removes a whole family of mistakes. There is no wrong realm to order for and no transfer to wait on. Two choices are left, and both matter. The ruleset, because a coin stays tied to its ruleset just as firmly as the character carrying it. And the faction, because a seller can only hand gold to your own side. Get those two right and any WoW Forever gold offer on the Americas board can reach you. How the Americas mega-server is split.
Price drivers
What sets the price of WoW Forever gold
Four facts about the game decide the rate long before any seller names a number.
Money cannot turn into gold
There is no WoW Token in Forever and no paid levelling. Every bit of demand for gold has to be met by another player, and that gap is the only reason a gold market exists at all.
The level cap stays at 60
New content arrives sideways: 4 zones, 9 dungeons and the Skyborne race at launch, 3 raids on December 9, Hardcore in the winter. A coin earned now keeps its use instead of being made worthless by the next expansion.
Everyone saves for the same bill
Riding training is 100 gold for the lower tier and 1,000 for the upper one, mount included. A target that every character walks toward puts a floor under demand.
Supply is counted in hours
With nothing turning money into gold, every coin for sale was farmed. Prices follow how many people are out gathering, which is why they start high in a fresh world and ease as the population settles in.
After you order
How WoW Forever gold reaches your character
You buy and pay on the seller's site. From then on everything takes place inside the game, and no step of it asks for your password.
- Pick an offer hereChoose the ruleset and faction your character is on, set the amount, and open the card.
- Pay on the seller's siteThe order and the payment happen there. This site never sees your card and never holds gold.
- Receive it in gameThe seller hands the gold to your character. Mail and trade work within one faction, so order for the side you actually play.
Three routes into your bags
The courier posts the gold to your character, and the letter sits there for whenever you next play. No meeting is needed and layering makes no difference to a letter, so most orders come this way.
Face to face
A trade window between the courier and your character. It is the quickest route and you see the gold land, but both of you have to be online together, and a party invite is needed to share a layer first.
Auction house
You list a cheap item at the agreed price and the seller buys it. It moves a large order without a meeting. The auction house takes its fee from every sale, and the seller covers it, not you.
What sets the delivery time is whether the seller has stock on the shelf and a courier logged in; the size of the order barely matters. From you the seller needs a character's name, plus its ruleset and faction.
Supply
Where the gold on sale comes from
Every coin on every listing was picked up by someone playing. Without a Token or paid boosts, Forever has no machine that turns money into gold, so sellers stock up exactly as a player would: herbs and ore from gathering routes, drops and vendor loot from dungeons, margins earned on the auction house.
Two things follow from that. Stock is finite, so a listing that claims every ruleset at once is describing a plan rather than a shelf, and the stock label on each card is the honest part of the offer. And a market fed by farming draws farming on an industrial scale: reports of bot fleets during the beta were the first sign of it. Blizzard has said it will keep a close eye on the Forever economy, which is one more reason to buy from a seller who can say where their gold comes from.
Price tracker
Watch the market move
Each line is the cheapest listing for one ruleset across every seller the tracker reads, recorded every few hours. The September stretch shows how fast a new market falls: dear in the first days of sales, steadier once farmers built stock.
Expect the same shape after launch on a larger scale. Gold is dearest in the first week and gets cheaper as the population levels and gathers.

Questions
What people ask before buying WoW Forever gold
Can I buy WoW Forever gold right now?
Yes. The seller lists WoW Forever gold for every ruleset and both factions on the Americas mega-server, and each card on this page shows the offer with its price, stock and delivery estimate. You place the order on the seller's own site.
Is there a WoW Token in Forever?
No. Blizzard ruled out the Token and paid boosts for Forever, so there is no official way to turn money into gold. Every coin for sale comes from another player's farming.
Which realm should I order gold for?
None, because Forever has no realms. Each region is one mega-server and you pick a ruleset inside it. Order for the ruleset and the faction your character is on.
Can Alliance and Horde trade gold with each other?
No. Mail and trade only work within one faction, so the gold has to be delivered to your own side. On the PvP ruleset an account can only have characters of one faction.
Where does a seller's WoW Forever gold come from?
From play. With no Token, nothing in Forever creates gold except gathering, dungeon loot, vendor sales and auction house trading, so every listing is someone's farmed stock.
How long does delivery take?
Each card shows the seller's own estimate. In practice it comes down to stock on the shelf and a courier being online, far more than to the size of the order.
Which ruleset has the cheapest gold?
It changes with the market. The board marks the cheapest coin with an orange frame, and the price tracker shows how the rulesets have moved against each other over time.
How much gold does a character need?
The largest planned cost is riding: 100 gold buys the first tier of training and 1,000 the top tier, and the mount is part of it. Raids from December 9 add consumables on top of that.
Will the seller need my login to deliver the gold?
No. Delivery needs your character name, ruleset and faction, nothing more. Never give anyone your login, password or authenticator code.

Ruleset Bond
Binds to: one ruleset
Use: Gold stays on the ruleset it was delivered to. A coin bought for Normal cannot reach a PvP or Roleplay character.
Price per Coin
Classic scale
Use: Forever runs on the classic economy, so gold is priced per single coin, not per thousand like retail.
